Nurgle Daemons (Chaos Daemons) Paint List for Warhammer 40,000

intermediate Chaos Daemons

Sickly greens, dirty bone, and slimy rust for Nurgle daemons.

Prime in Wraithbone or an off-white tone so the diseased flesh stays bright before the green washes go on.

Recommended undercoat white — Several priority paints in this army converge on white.

Sorted by priority

I Must-Have

The core green flesh and organic volumes

II Core

The variation that makes the flesh look alive and rotten

Painting order

Recommended steps
1 Prime in Wraithbone or an off-white colour.
2 Basecoat the flesh with Death Guard Green.
3 Apply Rakarth Flesh to horns, bone, and pale belly areas.
4 Wash the organic recesses with Athonian Camoshade.
5 Bring the raised volumes back with Ogryn Camo.
6 Add wounds and irritated flesh with Bugman's Glow.
7 Finish weapons and textured grime with Typhus Corrosion.

Tips

Hints for this army
1 Keep your transitions irregular: Nurgle looks better dirty than perfectly smooth.
2 Rakarth Flesh also works on teeth, claws, and burst pustules.
3 Typhus Corrosion looks more convincing in small focused patches than across an entire weapon.
