Painting order

Recommended steps
1 Basecoat the plates with Retributor Armour.
2 Shade the gold with Reikland Fleshshade.
3 Build the raised areas with Auric Armour Gold, then sharpen the edges with Liberator Gold.
4 Block in cloth and plumes with Khorne Red.
5 Finish weapons with Leadbelcher, Nuln Oil and Runefang Steel.

1 This version takes pale parchment and heraldic details very well with Corax White.
2 Use thin metallic layers so the gold reads noble rather than gaudy.
