Deep red armour, brutal brass and black leather, the most direct reading of Khorne. Nothing subtle here, and that is the appeal.
Block the reds and brass in quickly, then let the washes do the volume. Goretide runs on dark red against warm metal and black leather.

Painting order
Recommended steps
1
Lay down the base red with Khorne Red, then build up to Mephiston Red.

Paint the trim with Brass Scorpion.

Work the leather and straps with Abaddon Black.

Run Agrax Earthshade into the metal recesses and over the darkest reds.
5
Use Rakarth Flesh on the trophies, horns, and any exposed bone.

Hints for this army

Don't pile on the reds: two well-controlled values are enough for Khorne.

A generous Agrax quickly makes the brass look more violent, and more convincing.
